8500 Light Lab is a dream in progress project by James DeWalt, kicked off during the summer of 2013 in the town of Nederland, Colorado. Having long-time hobby interests in photography, digital art, design, 3d modeling and animation, James, with the assistance of long time friend and digital guru Enoxh Eloe, decided to embark on the journey of building a full studio suite for the production of projects ranging from poster art to full 3d animation and video production. Part of the concept involves providing an open platform to invite other like-minded artists in the area not only a studio to produce their own projects, but also provide an online presence for those artists, and become part of a cooperative team for tackling larger, more labor intensive projects. As well as building a stable photography business, James is also in the process of building a mini-cloud render farm for the production of CPU intensive graphics, as well as a full video production suite. Currently, 8500 Light Lab has the ability to do work in the realms of digital art and design, green screen space for both photo and video, portraiture and digital photo restoration.
